Spotted: Camille Joyce Rubbing Elbows with the Season 8 Top 10 American Idols

Hello, everyone! It’s been a while, since I last posted my last blog entry. I just wanted to  share with you the wonderful and unforgettable experience I had at the “American Idol Summer Tour 2009″ here in Baltimore, Maryland, last August 6, 2009. *Don’t worry, because I will try to make this blog simple, short, and sweet!*

When I woke up Wednesday morning, I was really, really, excited, because the day that I’ve been waiting for has finally come. I took a shower at around 10:30 in the morning then dressed up, straightened my hair, etc. While I was waiting for my brother to arrive home from work, I watched Tita Cory Aquino’s necrological service on YouTube.

When we arrived at the 1st Mariner Arena at around 3:00 pm, we saw a bunch of people waiting outside the arena. I thought that the Idols might go out and do the “meet and greet”  thing for their fans, so we decided to wait for a couple of minutes. Surprisingly,  after a few minutes of waiting, people started to scream at the top of their lungs, and I  saw Matt Giraud and Kris Allen come out of the venue. I  totally freaked out the moment I  gazed upon both of them. I was sooooo starstruck and really couldn’t believe my eyes. Fortunately, I was able to take a picture with Kris and Matt and also got their autographs. Yaaay! Lucky me!

Oh, by the way, Kris Allen was wearing a green Havaianas flip-flops. Hahaha! It’s damn cool, isn’t it? After the two of them have finished signing autographs, we still waited for a couple more hours, hoping that Adam Lambert and the rest of the Idols will come out. But, unfortunately, they didn’t. Sadness! So, we just decided to wait outside again after the show.

It was already 6:30 pm, and we haven’t eaten our dinner yet, so we ate dinner at KFC first before going into the arena, because the concert will probably last for two hours or so. We ate our food very quickly, because the show will start at 7:00 pm.

When we got inside the arena, we immediately looked for our seats. (Section 308, Row A, Seats 4, 5 and, 6) While waiting for the show to start, American Idol Honda Fusion commercials and music videos of former Idols were being played to entertain the audience.

The show started off with Michael Sarver who sang two songs. His performance was followed by Megan Joy Corkrey, Scott Macintyre, Lil’ Rounds, Anoop Desai, Matt Giraud, Allison Iraheta, Danny Gokey, Adam Lambert, and the American Idol, Kris Allen, respectively. It was such an amaaaziiiing show! Awesomeness! Adam Lambert was the bomb (borrowed the famous line from Randy Jackson)! Nyahahaha!

Right after the show, I purchased the American Idols Live! Tour 2009 t-shirt for $35.00 and a photo of Adam Lambert with his signature, which I got for $5.00.

Then we headed outside for the “meet and greet” thing and waited patiently for the Idols to come out.

Megan Joy was the first one to go out. She was so dang pretty!

Next was Anoop, who was wearing a Dodgers shirt. Hehehe! I really don’t like Anoop at all, but, after seeing him up close, I started to realize that he’s kinda cute and charming. ROFL!

Next was Michael. He was also cute, but he’s kinda chubby, though. Heehee!

Scott came out along with an assistant, because he’s visually impaired (but not completely blind).

The last one to come out was Danny Gokey who was freakin’ hot! Gosh. Good thing I did not pass out when I saw him in the flesh. Hahaha! XP

Here’s the picture of the album I bought at Wal-Mart last week. It now has their autographs! I can’t believe that 7 out of 10 Idols signed the cover of the album!

It’s just sad that ADAM LAMBERT, my favorite among all the Idols, didn’t show up in the “meet and greet” thing, as well as Allison and Lil Rounds.

America Didn’t Make The Right Decison

Oh my gosh! I really can’t believe that Kris Allen was crowned as the ‘American Idol.’

It was so unbelievable.

I cried when Ryan Seacrest announced the winner.

I’m very much disappointed with the results.

ADAM LAMBERT
should have won. :((

Biggest upset in AI.

ADAM Lambert aka “Rock God” is still my AMERICAN IDOL!

Happy Mother’s Day!

English Honors Class, Report Card Distribution, and Whatnot

Uncategorized  Tagged , No Comments »

“I’ll spread my wings and I’ll learn how to fly.
I’ll do what it takes till I touch the sky.”

April 24, 2009 was our report card distribution day. I was very delighted when I saw my report card. I got straight A’s for the second time around! Yay! I was confident that I will get an “A” in Digital Photography, English, and Algebra, because my teachers handed us grade sheets a few days before our report card distribution.  This time, though, I got a GPA of 4.06. My grade point average got a little bit higher than the previous marking period, because if you are in an honors class, you will get an additional .5  in your GPA.

“I’ll take a risk, take a chance,
Make a change, and break away”

During the first semester, I was just in a standard English class, but my former English teacher, Mrs. Zeytinoglu, recommended that I should be placed in the English Honors. class At first, I was really hesitant to transfer, because I  was already used to Mrs. Z’s class. Another reason I do not want to transfer was that I am worried that there will be much more work to do in the honors class. But, Mrs. Z accompanied and introduced me to one of the teachers in Honors English, Ms. Timberlake. Ms. T told me that there would be a lot of work sometimes, but she assured me that I could do it, because Mrs. Z showed her one of my writing assignments.

“Out of the darkness and into the sun.
But I won’t forget all the ones that I love”

My first day in honors class was awesome. First of all, Ms. Timberlake was very nice to me, and I saw three cute white boys. Hahaha! Days passed and I got used to the class and to my classmates, as well. I can say that honors class is more interesting, challenging, and fun compared to the standard class. I do miss Mrs. Zeytinoglu, but we still say “Hi!”  whenever we bump into each other in school. Sometimes, she talks to me and asks me how I am doing, what grade I got in the English honors class, and whatnot.

Happy! :]

Febraury 13, 2009 was our Report Card Distribution Day for the Second Marking Period. As usual, I was so nervous while my homeroom adviser was handing out our report cards. But, when Mrs. Levasseur came up to me and gave me my card, she was like, “You are so gonna get grounded!” And at the back of my mind, I was like, “Oh my gosh!” I felt so sad and disappointed the moment Mrs. Levasseur uttered those words. But when I read my report card, I was ecstatic and proud to see that I got straight A’s! I didn’t realize that Mrs. Levassuer was just kidding until I saw my report card.

I really am so happy with what I got, because I know that I really deserve it, since I exerted more effort in studying during the Second Marking Period than the First Marking Period. I got a 4.0 GPA, and I am included in the Principal’s Honor Roll! Also, my adviser also handed me an invitation for the Honor Roll Breakfast, which was held last Febraury 19, 2009 at the Cafeteria Alcove. Whoa! It really is a great honor to be included in the Honor Roll.

The following students were named to the principal’s honor roll:

NINTH GRADE:
Lauren Coberly, Maria Camille Dimaandal, Christopher Frye, Rajdeep Ghotra, Kaitlin Harrell, Zachary Hood, Raymond Lau, Joshua Levy, Ja Hyun Lim, Kierra McBeth, Rebecca Mount, Chakiera Shields, Mark Sterrett, Sai Sravya Velupula and Shirley Zhu.

Adam Lambert : The Next American Idol

Uncategorized  Tagged No Comments »

I am so happy to know that Adam Lambert made it to the top 12. I really loved his performance last Wednesday when he sang “Satisfaction” by The Rolling Stones. It was absolutely amazing and breath-taking as well. I hope he will make it far and be the next “American Idol.”
Go, Adam Lambert!

Hahaha!

I want to share this very hilarious story that I obtained from www.pinoyjokes.net. I was laughing really hard while reading this.

Enjoy!

Dear Ate Charo,

It’s so hirap talaga to study in UP, the University of the Poor. You know, I never wanted to study here. But my parents kasi, they both went to UP and they said na it was the best school talaga.

Eh ‘di I went. But no! When I got here, Holy horrors! I was ready to make himatay after the first day pa lang.

Would you believe, there’s no aircon na nga in the classrooms, the fan doesn’t work pa. And then this guy who was like, wearing a sando, shorts and tsinelas lang made tabi next to me. He made pakilala pa! The nerve! So I made takbo to the CR to make tago. But I couldn’t make hugas my hands that were so pawis from escaping such a near-death experience. There was no liquid soap! Not even a couch where I could sit to make kikay. Do you feel my pain na ba?

But wait, there’s more. Last Thursday kasi Daddy’s Volvo was bawal, eh the Eclipse was being repaired, so I had to make sakay with my yaya in the Ikot jeep. It was so siksik! I could like, smell the putok of the girl next to me. Like, it was sobrang mabaho talaga. Kasi naman, the Ikot jeeps are old na nga, they’re mainit pa! Sana they make palit na the jeeps with a shuttle system. Okey lang naman even if there’s an increase in pamasahe ‘di ba? So when the car is bawal, I can use my credit card na to make bayad.

Isa pa, you know the Shopping Center? It’s so kadiri talaga. I’m forced na nga to make Xerox there, (as if naman I could be caught in that place otherwise) pero I’m so inis because it’s so maliit and madilim, and most of the stalls don’t have aircon. They should tear it down na and build a mall na lang. Then I wouldn’t have to go to Katipunan pa to get my Starbucks fix.

My gosh, this place is so bulok I don’t know nga why anyone would bother making turo here pa. Just yesterday, my professor was kinda inis kasi her whiteboard marker had no more tinta! Then she tried to make hanap a matino whiteboard marker but of course there was none. Duh! Kasi naman if we had laptops instead of desks in every classroom there would be no more need or whiteboards di ba? But you know even if there were laptops na, the seats are so tigas sometimes I find it mahirap to concentrate. Dapat may cushioning para malambot sa butt, like Downy. Now I’m in my third year na. I don’t want to stay in this place anymore.I don’t give a paki if UP’s the best university here. I’m going to transfer to Assumption, where the CRs have liquid soap.

tnx.

Hahaha!
